Live Music: Maddy Marsan

Red Arrow Tap Room welcomes singer-songwriter and Elmhurst native Maddy Marsan for an intimate evening of folk music. Maddy will be performing solo on acoustic and electric guitar with her brother, Jeremy Marsan, on percussion.

Maddy incorporates classical elements into her songwriting to create a signature sound described as "dreamy folk-freak." Her debut album, 2015's Folkin' Around, experiments with recorded voice and oboe through layers of harmonies and counter-melodies interwoven within the featured classical guitar. Her second album, Nocturnes, released in September 2016 through Fourth Street Records, expands her sound through a larger instrumentation, some of which include the bassoon, contrabassoon, and English horn.
