Penning the Nasty (the tender, the sweet) Writing Workshop

Our very own talented and brilliant Kati Standefer revisits her Explorations Into Writing Sexuality course-- in the decidedly sexy Tucson Hop Shop Literary Loft. Grab a beer or glass of wine, your pad and pen, and your open mind and heart, and come explore the relationship between sensuality and lyricism, discuss the politics and ethics of writing sex, engage with current sex research, and write out of the unique terrain of your own body."Penning the Nasty (the tender, the sweet)" is a five-week writing workshop that considers the role of the sex scene in storytelling, explores the differences between pornography, erotica, and literary sex writing, and does so in a fun, safe, nonjudgmental space. An acclaimed writer and ACS Certified Sexologist, Standefer has provided sexuality education to nearly 8,000 people. She teaches English and Medical Humanities at the U of A.
