Project Cosplay

October 07, 2016 7:00PM - 11:00PM at 42 Lounge

Make it work.

Milwaukee has a strong, growing community of creative individuals who create beautiful works of wearable art. Anyone can cosplay, but not everyone knows where to begin. If you’ve ever wanted some expert advice on starting out, or if you’re in the middle of a project and you just need a little help on those finishing details, this event is for you.

Laura Kane, an assistant professor in the Fashion Department at Mount Mary University, will lead you on an open discussion of all things cosplay, answer questions from the audience and give a few pointers. As this is our first event, we will also be taking suggestions for more focused discussions within the field for future discussions.

Share stories with other cosplayers, and get some ideas for your next project over a few drinks. You’re welcome to bring pieces to share. And, as always, cosplay is welcome!
