Super Spectacular Comedy Show For A Free Press

The media. Call them what you will! The guardians of democracy, the enemy of the American people, or just a bunch of schmoes doing a job like everybody else.

Love 'em or hate em, or love to hate em, we need them to bring us our news and information. Whether it's front page sensationalism or corny sports page puns, it's all Werth it. And right now, we need them more than ever.

On Thursday, July 6, at 7:30pm, Grassroots Comedy DC will celebrate the tough job our reporters and their lawyers do by hosting a stand-up comedy benefit show for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press at the Bier Baron Tavern. Let's show our support for the hardworking scribes, filmmakers, bloggers, and storytellers who make sure that we, the public, have the news and information we need.

Join us as we roast our media friends and tell relevant and irrelevant jokes in their honor and at their expense. It will be a memorable evening of merriment and laughter, with some of the best comics in the Mid Atlantic in attendance.
