Once a year The Flaming Lotus Girls, Janky Barge, Sextant, and Imprint City join forces to present a magic mixture of art, music, science and interactive surprises for an event to inspire the senses!

=== WHAT IS BAYVIEW SPARC? ===
On July 15 we unite our Burning Man tribes for the SECOND ANNUAL Bayview SPARC, a block party of EPIC proportions.

Featuring: Sextant’s infamous TESLA coils! The Flaming Lotus Girls Interactive Fire Sculptures. Music curated by the Janky Barge. Flow artists and fire dancers. Interactive art stations. Face Painters. Laughing Monk Brewing tasty beverage selection. Your favorite San Francisco Food Trucks. Your favorite Burner Gear & Merchandise vendors.

Costumes ADMIRED but not Required! Think retro-futuristic, space punk, post-post apocalyptic, future aristocratic ball attire, creatures that have yet to evolve, humanoid disasters, unearthly creations of crystals, sequins and decadence.

All ages welcome. 21 to drink.

Ages 12 and under get in for free! This event will be open to the youngest of daredevils from 3pm - 7pm, when groups will be on-hand to share information about what we do with all who are curious.

This is going to be an electrifying city block of AWESOME!

Support our art projects! Everyone is a VIP and there is no VIP area, but your support will be remembered and deeply appreciated. Additional donations can be given on the ticket link. Help promote the party, share the link after ticket purchase and get ready for an amazing experience.

This is a 100% non-profit event, with a volunteer production staff. All proceeds go towards the The Flaming Lotus Girls, The Janky Barge, Sextant & Imprint City. Art is an extremely expensive hobby we do because we LOVE IT and We LOVE giving back to our Community.

The Flaming Lotus Girls (FLG) are a female driven group of metal artists, open to anyone, based out of Hunter's Point. For the past seventeen years, they have been creating interactive fire art for Burning Man and events around the world. Every year, FLG develop new pieces, honing their collective metalworking talents while learning new fire arts fabrication skills.

About Sextant

Sextant is a group doers who formed in 2013 driven by passion in Science and Engineering in conjunction with Art! A sextant is a navigational instrument, it represents the guiding principle that brings camp members together to do great things. Sextant builds big art that gather us and encourage us to look up, see what’s out there, dream big, and go exploring together.

We have proudly developed a giant 32 ft tall Tesla Coil delivering 16 ft arc sparks. We love bringing the Tesla Coil and the community together at Burning Man and, throughout the year, at large scale events such as BM Decompression, unSCruz, Maker Faire and Bayview SPARC.

At Burning Man we also install our 52 ft Tower, that everyone can climb to take the ultimate photo opportunity, with the wind whistling in your ears as you look out at Black Rock City in all its glory. You can have drinks at vünderbar, ze bar in ze sky, before riding our amazing 350 ft Zip-Line high above Black Rock City! At the base of the Sextant Tower you will find a cozy dome to relax, chat and opening hearts and minds.

Every year we continue the magic by improving our installations and creating new pieces while acquiring new skills. Our members include electrical and mechanical engineers, physicists, experience metalworkers, machine shop experts operators, welders, artists and designers, as well as new members eager to learn new techniques or refine them. We gather both at the m0xy maker space in Oakland, and at the Techshop locations in the San Francisco Bay Area to realize our projects and discuss future ideas. Our builds are often assisted by people seeking to become “makers”, and we take great pleasure seeing them branch off to follow their dreams.
