The Ultimate Garlic Experience

Back in 2005 at the original Alamo Drafthouse on 409 Colorado Street, we first debuted "The Ultimate Garlic Experience" at the Alamo Drafthouse. The operations team went a little white in the face when I suggested we bring it back for the Alamo 20 celebration as twelve years later, the smell of garlic might have just finally left those walls.

On the screen, we will project Les Blank's seminal food documentary GARLIC IS AS GOOD AS TEN MOTHERS. And on your plate, the Alamo culinary team has prepared an amazing four course garlic-lover's feast. But wait, there's more! Our bar has come up with a pretty inspired cocktail just for this show, it of course contains garlic.

Twelve years later, I still remember every detail of this extraordinary experience. By the end of the screening, I was literally crying. One may merely attribute this to the overabundance of garlic fumes in the air, but I believe the tears were brought on by experiencing something magical.
