Formed in 2008, This Way to the Egress is a 6-piece accordion led ensemble hailing from the Philadelphia region. Since it's start, EGRESS has tried to find a box in which they could fit themselves, however finding a box to fit six members playing accordion’s, tuba’s, electric guitar’s, trombone’s, piano's, and drum’s would need to be a rather large box. So they move forth doing what they do best, incorporating elements of punk, Balkan, Klezmer, blues, reggae and ragtime with Americana Folk-Rock causing a genre defying sound that P.T. Barnum would be proud of.
