Vodka Tasting Event #2

August 26, 2017 7:00PM - 10:00PM at Old Nick's Pub

Due to the high demand we had for our first Vodka Tasting Event, we will be holding another one on Saturday, August 26th.

Join us this day for a fun and informative Vodka Tasting Event. We will be featuring eight different drinks using four kinds of Vodka: Purus Organic Wheat Vodka (Italy), Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka (Jackson, Mississippi), Ocean Organic Vodka, and Skyy Honeycrisp Apple Vodka (USA). The very knowledgable Melanie Holdridge will be hosting. She'll tell you about the Vodka's being featured and how to make some delicious drinks. See any Old Nick's staff member to reserve your seat. We have a limited number of seats available for the 4 seating times. Please call the pub to reserve your seat if you are interested in attending!

You get a 1/2 oz taste of each of the 4 Vodkas plus one drink of your choice. Cost is $15.00.

Purus Organic Wheat Vodka (Italy)
The Slow & Low :
1 oz Purus Vodka
1 oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Orange Liqueur
1/2 oz Cherry Heering
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Shake with ice and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a twist of orange peel

The Peerless
2 oz Purus Vodka
1/2 oz St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1 oz Lychee Juice
1/2 oz Lime Juice
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a whole lychee fruit skewered on a cocktail pick

Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka (Jackson, Mississippi)
The Delta Breeze
1 1/2 oz Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka
3 oz Cranberry Juice
1 1/2 oz Grapefruit Juice
Pour all ingredients into cocktail glass filled with ice. Do not shake. Garnish with lime wedge.

Wild Honeysuckle Lemonade
2 oz Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka
3 oz Lemonade
1/2 oz tonic
Fresh lemon juice to taste
Garnish with Lemon & Lime Wedges
Splash of Blonde Ale

Ocean Organic Vodka (Hawaii)
Ocean Water
2 oz Ocean Organic Vodka
4 oz Coconut Water
Muddled Mint Leaves
Dash of Agave Syrup
Muddle mint and add other ingredients, shake with ice and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with mint sprig and slice of lime.

Ocean Pom Beach Martini
2 oz Ocean Organic Vodka
1 1/2 oz Pomegranate Juice
1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice
Squeeze of fresh Orange
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with Orange twist.

Skyy Honeycrisp Apple Vodka (USA)
Caramel Apple Mule drink and a Honeycrisp Apple Martini.
