First 75 adult walkers get a FREE Homewood Science Center baseball hat!
Stroll Izaak Walton Preserve’s signature 3.6 mile loop with the chance to talk with leading experts about the flora and fauna of our area. In partnership with experts from: The University of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, The Field Museum, and Shedd Aquarium! Upon return, stretch out with group fitness instructors from H-F Racquet & Fitness Club!

Your admission to THE FEST includes live music by The Resonators, campfires, roasted marshmallows, and a double dose of PopUp SCIENCE!
“Spooky Science” A #Halloween-themed take on science with a hands-on #MadScientist station and a look at gross anatomy.
“Autumn Ecology” Learn all about bugs, bees, and birds with the help of our friends from Irons Oaks! Visit with the live raptors from Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education and experience their beautiful birds face to face.

Because of the distance, we recommend THE WALK for children who are 10 and up.

Children under 3 years old are free and do not require registration!
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
