“Wood You Be My Savor”: A Tap Takeover of Foeder & Wood-Aged Libations

Showcasing beers aged in foeders, wine, whiskey and even Caribbean rum barrels, Jack Rose is partnering with five breweries from around the country to celebrate the funky flavors achieved by introducing beer to various wooden vessels. This open-to- the-public event will showcase funky, tart and sour barrel-aged beers from 4 Hands Brewing Co. in St. Louis, Allagash Brewing Company in Maine, New Belgium Brewing Company in Colorado, and Right Proper Brewing Company and 3 Stars from here in DC.All five breweries will take over the bar’s 20-tap draft system, offering rare brews incorporating unique flavors such as Madagascar vanilla beans, lychee, Vietnamese cinnamon, raspberries and coffee fruit.
