Yardij Live for Friday Fest at Sailfish Brewery

Sailfish Brewing Company will be hosting another Cosmic Barley Production with Yärdij playing their first Friday Fest celebration.

Growing up in Cooper City, Florida rehearsing in our parent's living rooms. We aim to create music that spans across various genres. Labeling Yärdij under one genre would be a limitation on our band’s mission. “Our goal isn't to embody a certain genre or attract a certain people; it’s to simply make good music,” says Deja, lead vocalist of our band.

With a powerhouse sound comprised of influences such as Paramore, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janis Joplin, and No Doubt fused with the rhythmic mellow of Sublime. Our EP "Blue Room" will connect with the listener on multiple levels. We want people to have fun with our music, feel powerful, relatable and also gain a sense of awareness. We don't like to solely base our music off love and having fun but also real problems that people deal with all around.

Since we started the band, Yärdij has quickly garnered statewide recognition and success, despite being a relatively new band. We have opened up for Bon Jovi at the BB@T Center, played on one of the main stages at the 2017 Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, and performed at Sunfest 2015. We have also played at Florida Music Festival for three consecutive years now, and have won the Hard Rock Rising competition in 2015.
