Carolina Beer Temple is an independently owned and operated craft beer store with a craft beer bar in downtown Matthews, NC. We only carry beers made by breweries that are independently owned. At Carolina Beer Temple, you can shop for great craft beers to take home or sit and enjoy a fresh beer from one of our sixteen constantly rotating taps.
In support of the exciting craft brewing scene taking place in North Carolina, Carolina Beer Temple strives to have the best selection of craft beers made in North Carolina.
Carolina Beer Temple also has one of the finest selections of Belgian ales around. From Belgian abbey and trappist ales, to lambics, Flemish sours and more!
Carolina Beer Temple features a fine selection of craft beers from across the country, with a special focus on rare and hard-to-find beers. We also carry a large selection of meads, as well as some ciders.
While our selection of beers is constantly growing and changing, we currently offer over 450 different craft beers to choose from.

The first Carolina Beer Temple Book Club meeting will be Tuesday, March 13th from 8-9pm and we'll be discussing "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman. While we'll meet after the runners get back, you do NOT have to be a runner to attend and the books will NOT be about running! We plan to meet roughly every 6 weeks - we'll announce the next book at this first meeting. We are excited about this excuse to meet some new people and drink some #craftbeer.
