Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany. This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.
This East Texas nod to West Coast IPAs is full of bold pine, citrus, peach & tangerine hop flavors balanced by a velvety malt backbone of US 2-Row & German Munich. It's been dry-hopped with 15 lbs. per batch of a blend of Eureka, Apollo, & Bravo to impart a fruity, dank aroma.
Food Pairings: Pairs well with spicy food and pungent cheese.
Legend has it that, well over a century ago, citizens of western Bohemia grew so dissatisfied with their beer they dumped it in the streets. So a new style evolved, in the city of Pilsen, combining the soft local water with pale malts and earthy Saaz hops. And the Bohemians were pleased. Our pilsner adheres closely to that original style. ’Cause we like happy Bohemians.
Slap Fight will woo you in with a West Coast-style malt bill, but slaps you across the face with its tropical hop profile. Light in body, heavy in character, this IPA features Munich and Crystal pale malts for a clean, rich mouthfeel. Comet, Equinox and Mosaic hops lend a pungent herbal aroma, peppered with hints of papaya, orange and grapefruit. Present this beer to a friend. If he does not drink it immediately, slap him as hard as you can. Repeat.
Upon pouring, this beer is light in color with very little haze and a very thick head. Similar to traditional German-style Weissbier, this beer boasts huge banana and clove aromas followed by a wonderful taste of banana, vanilla and spices that finishes with a fruity, smooth aftertaste. The fluffy mouthfeel can be attributed to the amount of protein gained from the wheat which also leaves a beautiful lacing in your glass.
Inspired by the Orphic bone tablets which explore the dichotomous nature of life and death, our Bone Tablet series reveals the many sides of the IPA. Life.Death.Life.Truth. is our twist on a Single IPA. With moderate bitterness and notes of gooseberry, sweet orange, and pineapple, Life.Death.Life.Truth. showcases the incredible versatility of hops.
Food Pairings: Manhattan margherita pizza with spicy Italian sausage
Spring is a time of rebirth, and the writings of Orpheus revolve around this theme. Transmigration of Souls is an irresponsibly hopped Double IPA, bursting with life from an absurd amount of aromatic hops. You’ll experience a bouquet of orange, lemon, and tropical fruit, sitting on top of a clean, dry malt body.
An inspiration from the beer country, our Belgian Witbier is a good representation of this classic style. A combination of coriander and citrus peel provides a pleasant tart-lemon aroma and orange-citrus flavor.
Prince of Pilsen tributes the most popular beer style in the world. Originally brewed in the bohemian City of Pilsen in 1842, the new sensation was widely imitated and now makes up 90% of beer consumed around the globe. This Euro-style version is refreshingly crisp and dry hopped with Falconer’s Flight 7Cs for a distinct citrus aroma and bite.
