Leopold Bros. Michigan Cherry

Leopold Bros. Michigan Cherry

American Fruit Whiskey80° (40%)

Leopold Bros. Distillery

Before Prohibition, many American distillers added small amounts of fruit juices to sweeten the whiskey as it aged in wooden barrels. We revive this classic style of whiskey production by juicing world-renowned Montmorency tart cherries from Michigan, and blending the juice with our whiskey. The spirit then rests in our used bourbon barrels, giving the flavors time to marry and mature while drawing out notes of vanilla, marzipan, and spice from the barrels. Like all Leopold Bros. spirits, this is bottled by hand, to preserve the bright cherry flavor, full burgundy color, and soft whiskey finish.

We do things a little differently around here – and that’s what gives Jack Daniel’s its distinctive character. We charcoal mellow our whiskey drop by drop, then let it age in our own handcrafted barrels. And we don’t follow a calendar. Our Tennessee Sippin’ Whiskey is ready only when our tasters say it is. We use our senses, just like Jack Daniel himself did. In fact, more than a century later, our Tennessee Whiskey is still judged the same way. By the way it looks. By the way it smells. And, of course, by the way it tastes. 80 Proof

The first line extension to the Maker's Mark range since the '50s, Maker's 46 is essentially the standard expression with added spice. This was not intended to compete with the core expression, instead it's a cousin to it, something different for those that like spicy bourbon. They add this extra dimension by inserting seared French oak staves into the barrels (with the stave profile "number 46" - thus the name). Nose: Toffee sweetness, fresh cut wood, very toasty aroma, with sweet spices & deep, thick caramel. Palate: Creamy, very soft. Then explodes with spiciness on the tip of the tongue. Also, nutmeg, mulled wine spices, allspice, cinnamon. Finish: Sweet spices that concentrates on the tongue.

If intergalactic beings of pure energy, after initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built some kind of pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine, powered by psychedelics and abstract math, it’d probably just sound like a CTS tribute band. Drawing from progressive rock, fusion and jazz, with alien sounds soaked in Indian and Middle Eastern styles, CTS blends disparate parts into a striking, utterly original whole. Dubbed “Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion”, the band’s music strikes a rare balance between cerebral and emotional, intellectual and primal. A relentless touring schedule has won the band a fervent following from California to Israel, with fans ranging from jam-band hippies and jazz cats to corpse-painted headbangers and prog geeks. Formed in 2004, Consider the Source features Gabriel Marin on fretless double-neck guitar, bassist John Ferrara, and drummer/percussionist Jeff Mann. Called “the guiding light for his generation of six-stringers”, Marin channels the mystical fury of McLaughlin and Coltrane into wailing melodies, kaleidoscopic soundscapes and boneshaking riffs. With a background in classical musics both Eurpoean and Indian, and an instinct for avant-jazz and destructive metal, Marin’s hypnotic fusion of styles is ever unpredictable. Ferrara’s propulsive, percussive attack, equally suited to simple grooves and impossible chords, can ground the music or launch it into space. His madcap gumbo of slap bass, Indian rhythms, earthy minimalism and complex tapping constantly pushes into strange new worlds, whilst still dropping thick booty-clap beats. Underneath them lies Mann’s rolling thunder; dense rhythmic architecture built from pure swagger and bounce. Half double-bass prog-metal, half crackle-pop Buddy Rich swing, with African and Balkan swirls, Mann’s muscular, freewheeling polyrhythms are the engine fuel for Consider’s multiversal mischief. Even when not improvising, Consider’s music is always a conversation, a roiling stew of dynamic interplay. Each member of Consider the Source alternately leads and follows, spars and assists; in any single song, alliances are made and broken, bargains struck and divorces finalized. Touring from coast to coast, as well as Europe and the Middle East, has not only earned the band thousands of fans, but has allowed them to perform with a wide variety of well-known artists, including Victor Wooten, Wayne Krantz, King Crimson Projekt, Kris Myers (Umphrey’s McGee), Wyclef Jean, Andy Statman, Matt Darriau (Paradox Trio), Oteil Burbridge, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Dumpstaphunk, Keller Williams, George Porter, Jr., Jeff Sipe, Panzerballet (Germany), Eatliz (Israel), Freak Kitchen (Sweden), Morglbl (France), and many others. They have performed at numerous festivals and events, including Burning Man, Gathering of the Vibes, the NYC Fretless Guitar Festival, Catskill Chill, Sun Seekers Ball (Canada), Aura Music & Arts Festival (Florida), Jazz Fest (New Orleans), Head For The Hills Festival & SXSW (Texas), Rootwire (Ohio), and the NYC Gypsy Festival. The BoomBachs

October 26, 8:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

21+ 8pm FREE The BoomBachs The BoomBachs combine hip-hop, jazz, and rock in a way that can only be described as Space Gospel. This term originates from the band's desire to explore beyond the usual chord progressions and lyrical content, to pursue the less explored areas of each genre it draws from. Often compared to The Roots, RH Factor, Muse and A Tribe Called Quest, the group from Denton (TX) combine neck-breaking rhythms with epic soundscapes to create a sound they can truly call their own. This 6-piece band of brothers believes that being in sync personally brings them to a higher performance level, and is evident as they interact on and off stage. The tone of The BoomBachs ranges from uplifting to psychedelic, and tackles topics such as politics, love, existentialism and intergalactic motifs. The BoomBachs believe in taking hip-hop in a musical direction. Whether in the intimate confines of a house show or the stage of a festival The BoomBachs bring a big sound that intertwines soulful and often complex lyrics with high energy performances that leave their audience in constant suspense. They aim to achieve musical mastery in any context or situation. From Texas to Canada this group of people come from all over North America and bring their dynamic range of influences with them. A composition project at the University of North Texas brought them together for the first time, but when it comes to writing music they strive to let their creativity take control. During the past four years The BoomBachs have been developing and honing their craft by writing, performing, recording, mixing, and mastering their own music. The BoomBachs believe any skill can be learned and this DIY mentality has been proven from their first EP to their current release AlienNation. Leading the evolution of hip-hop they believe that bringing musicality to a genre known for loops and samples is what sets them apart. From inspirational songs that dive deep into personal experience to songs that ponder outer space The BoomBachs play their heart out every chance they get and leave it all on the stage.

Daniel Markham + The Cush

October 28, 9:00p.m. - 11:59p.m.

21+ 9pm FREE!! Daniel Markham https://www.danielmarkhammusic.com/ WATCH: https://vimeo.com/162043777 LISTEN: https://danielmarkham.bandcamp.com "Whether it be Thrift Store Cowboys and Amanda Shires of the last decade, Terry Allen and The Flatlanders of the late ’70s, or Buddy Holly and Wink-native Roy Orbison of the late ’50s, they all the ability to capture the parting winds of the flatlands and the blistering sun of the West Texas deserts. It was engrained in their sound–becoming signature for each in their own shades. The now Denton-based Markham, a decade in as a songwriter and musician, presents his third solo full-length album, Disintegrator. Third. In ways, that’s a misleading description. In reality, it marks his 12th release–following Waiting to Derail’s self-titled, One Wolf’s One Wolf I and One Wolf II: Secret of the Wolf, Larry Legion and Forest of Swords under the Larry Legion persona, solo works Demonstrations, Hexagons, Ruined My Life, Pretty Bitchin’, and the collaborative efforts of Smoke Paint with Tony Ferraro and Harmony in Hell with Claire Morales." - TOM MOONEY, NEW SLANG The Cush http://www.thecush.com/ WATCH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKEbSyit55o LISTEN: http://thecush.bandcamp.com After fronting Buck Jones, a Dallas/Fort Worth-based noise pop band from 1993 to 2000, the Douglases decided it was time for a major change. Armed with wanderlust, big dreams, a batch of handcrafted psych-pop suites, and vintage tape delays and keyboards, The Cush relocated to the farthest reaches of Burlington, Vermont to release their self-titled debut album. The inspirational change of location and new musical direction proved fruitful for The Cush, and in 2006 they released their eagerly anticipated follow up album, New Appreciation for Sunshine on Undertow Records. After a year of recording and touring between Vermont and Texas, 2010 found the band returning to its Lone Star roots with a move back to Fort Worth. “Just like the move to Vermont was heartfelt and very clear, it was the same thing with moving back to TX,” Gabrielle says. “Oh—this is what we’re supposed to be doing now.” In April of ’10 The Cush released its third self-recorded album, Between the Leaves. “I think our ‘space cadet country’ influence is still in there on some tracks, but as far as the psychedelic pop, I think this album is a little darker,” Burette assesses. Over the years, The Cush has opened for artists including Cat Power, Broken Social Scene, Stars, Deerhoof, The Fiery Furnaces, Dead Meadow, Centro-matic, Heartless Bastards, Sea of Cake and James McMurtry, among many others. In 2007 the band played a series of dates in the UK, including the Dream Machine Festival. Following that, the band played in the UK, Stockholm, Milan and Berlin in 2011. Now The Cush eagerly returns to Europe in 2016, ready to embark on another fantastic tour.
