Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale
Boulevard Brewing Company  ·  Kansas City, MO
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickety. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. The perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Our Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got us into brewing in the first place. After years of experimenting, we knew hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. The result ended up being this gold-medal winning IPA, whose inspired use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish

This righteously flavorful imperial stout has been a favorite among our fans—and us—since its inception in 2013. In celebration of its third brewing, we’ve upped the barrel-aging quotient for 2015, adding to the mix a version of last year’s vintage that we aged in bourbon barrels for a year. Evil Twin Even More Jesus
Evil Twin Brewing  ·  Brooklyn, NY
A few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all - it must taste rare!

The Bruery  ·  Placentia, CA
For this verse of the story, we chose the path we don’t often take – we brewed to style. No bells, no whistles, just our best take on the Belgian Quadrupel style. Brewed with nothing but water, malt, yeast, hops and a bit of Belgian dark candi sugar, this beer may not be as out-of-the-box as some of our past winter brews, but it’s just as tasty. Rich and complex, this robust dark ale juggles notes of raisin bread, dried apricots, burnt caramel and roasted pecans.

Lost Abbey Ten Commandments
The Lost Abbey  ·  San Marcos, CA
AROMA: The initial perception in this beer is that of fruits - especially raisins. It has an herbal component from the Rosemary as well. The beer manifests much of the dark malts that are in the beer as well as some of the yeast phenols from the Saison Style yeast at work. TASTE: There are lots of ingredients playing well here. First we blacken raisins making their presence felt. This is followed by some dark malt caramel sweetness and a drying presence from the chocolate and more roasted malts.

2013 vintage. Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel’s share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. Beret is as artistic as those who wear its namesake cap. Our brewers developed a silky, full-bodied wheat ale which we began fermenting with our house yeast strain. Finally, a small dose of pureed raspberries were added for just a hint of fruity tannins, putting the berry in Beret

Crooked Stave Nightmare On Brett
Nightmare on Brett matches the barrel character with the brewery's calling card Brettanomyces flavors. Ballast Point Calico Amber Ale
Ballast Point Brewing Company  ·  San Diego, CA
A rich, copper ale with a case full of gold medals. Our Calico Amber Ale takes its inspiration from traditional English ESBs. Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and our proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. However, it’s the American hops that give this ale a distinct bite and floral aroma that have earned it just about every major beer medal

Ecliptic / Wicked Weed / Stone Points Unknown IPA
Stone Brewing Co.  ·  Escondido, CA
It seemed no single beer could adequately convey the collective talents of Portland, Oregon brewing legend and Ecliptic Brewing founder John Harris; Luke and Walt Dickinson, the brewmaster duo behind North Carolina’s Wicked Weed Brewing; and Stone Brewmaster Mitch Steele. So, this veritable triad of power opted to brew TWO beers. The first was a traditional Belgian-style tripel aged four months in oak barrels that originally housed red wine, then tequila. It was then blended at a one-fourth to t

The Bruery Sour In The Rye
The Bruery  ·  Placentia, CA
2014 vintage. Sour in the Rye is an American wild ale. A challenging beer to brew due to the substantial amount of rye malt, but you’ll be glad we took the time. The character of the rye asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor, and contributes a full body not generally found in sour beers. Pleasantly sour with notes of tart cherry, rustic earth and vanilla notes from a year-plus of barrel aging

Off Color Troublesome Gose
Off Color Brewing  ·  Chicago, IL
We blend together two different beers to make Troublesome. The first is a somewhat uninteresting wheat beer and the second is an overly acidic & funky beer fermented solely with lactobacillus. We blend the two beers together with coriander and salt at the tail end of fermentation to create a mild, lemony tartness and a fuller sensation of mouthfeel. And yes, it's hard to make.Secret Ingredients: Coriander and Lactobacillus

Breakside Wanderlust
Breakside Brewery  ·  Portland, OR
The only problem with our IPAs is keeping them in stock. Wanderlust is bright golden in color and has intense juicy notes of tropical and grapefruit. We use five pungent hops in this beer and keep the malt profile as light as possible so that the interplay of hop flavors can really shine. Whether you find Wanderlust in Portland or elsewhere, we’re stoked to share with you this new take on the Northwest IPA. A golden IPA loaded with hop flavor.
