A.D. Laws 4 Grain Straight Bourbon
Laws Whiskey House  ·  United States
Our flagship whiskey is crafted from all four of the “American mother grains”: corn, wheat, barley and rye. There aren’t many four grain bourbons on the market as they are very difficult to make. We utilize a stepped cooking process — each grain variety requires a different cooking temperature to maximize its flavor and character. The grain requiring the most heat is milled in and cooked first; the temperature is then lowered gradually as we add the smaller flavor grains, and then complete the cooking process with the malts. This painstaking, 6.5 hour, labor-intensive process is critical to capturing the character and quality of each grain. During aging, we strive to create harmony between this complex whiskey and the vanilla and caramel notes from the newly charred, American white oak barrels to create a classic bourbon with Colorado character.

Jim Beam Bonded
Jim Beam's bonded bourbon follows the letter of the law: the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. It's bottled at 100 proof, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and produced in a single distillery season at a single distillery. Bottled in bond is a label for an American-made distilled beverage that has been aged and bottled according to a set of legal regulations contained in the United States government's Standards of Identity for Distilled Spirits, as originally laid out in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. A reaction to widespread adulteration in American whiskey, the act made the federal government the guarantor of a spirit's authenticity, gave producers a tax incentive for participating, and helped ensure proper accounting and the eventual collection of the tax that was due. While the regulations apply to all spirits, in practice, most bonded spirits are whiskeys. AROMA: Oaky notes with a background of vanilla & caramel. PALATE: Oak spiciness, medium-bodied with a balance of flavor.

Jim Beam Devils Cut
After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, some liquid stays trapped deep inside the wood. This is the “Devil’s Cut.” Jim Beam have developed a technique to extract it. Jim Beam use a proprietary process that extracts the rich bourbon trapped inside the barrel wood. When ready, they then blend this liquid with extra-aged bourbon & bottle it at 90 proof (45% vol.) for robust, premium bourbon with deep colour, aroma, and character. AROMA: Deep Char with a smoky backdrop. PALATE: Full bodied with intense vanilla & oak flavors.

Maker's 46
The first line extension to the Maker's Mark range since the '50s, Maker's 46 is essentially the standard expression with added spice. This was not intended to compete with the core expression, instead it's a cousin to it, something different for those that like spicy bourbon. They add this extra dimension by inserting seared French oak staves into the barrels (with the stave profile "number 46" - thus the name). Nose: Toffee sweetness, fresh cut wood, very toasty aroma, with sweet spices & deep, thick caramel. Palate: Creamy, very soft. Then explodes with spiciness on the tip of the tongue. Also, nutmeg, mulled wine spices, allspice, cinnamon. Finish: Sweet spices that concentrates on the tongue.

Maker's Mark
Proof: 90 Aroma: Woody oak, caramel, vanilla and wheat prevail in the nose Taste: Sweet and balanced with caramel, vanilla and fruity essences Finish: Smooth and subtle
