Whole Foods Market North Raleigh

Bar/Pub/Tavern/Restaurant/Gastropub in Raleigh-Durham
Whole Foods Market in North Raleigh is proud to be a pioneer in sustainability! In addition to offering the highest quality natural and organic products, we have a strong commitment to local growers, and have earned recognition as a green facility! Our store is LEED certified GOLD by the US Green Building Council, featuring green technology such as a rain water cistern that collects non-potable water, energy efficient coolers and freezers, and smart lights throughout the store and in all of the offices!
In addition, Whole Foods Market in North Raleigh was recognized by the EPA as a "Zero Waste" facility in April 2012! This is the first Whole Foods Market (hopefully of many!) EVER to receive this EPA status! Zero Waste facilities divert at least 90% of all waste to non-landfill resources, such as recycling and composting! Our store owes the North Raleigh community a huge appreciation for your support and help in achieving this accomplishment!

A blend of dark chocolate and coffee flavors with just a hint of brewer's licorice. One of our oldest recipes, it balances a significant hop presence against the roast malt body.
Food Pairings: A more intense, roasty version of a porter, the roast in Kalamazoo Stout can be a nice counterpoint to rich or sweet foods. It can also create resonance with intense, caramelized meats, rich stews, sweet barbecue or nutty desserts. A gimme with smoked salmon or oysters on the half shell and nice with steamed lobster. Try it with corned beef as well. For dessert, try with chocolate souffle, baklava or mocha mascarpone mousse. Pairs well with cheeses like aged Gouda, Parmesan, cheddar, French brie (for a nice contrast), Holland smoked Gouda, MouCou ColoRouge, Trader Joe’s goat milk brie or Trader Joe’s Huntsman.
