A Northern German (Friesian) Pilsener that is characteristic of the style. It is a little more hoppy than Czech pilseners giving it a more bitter ("herb" in German) flavour.
Golden-yellow and bright, with 30 bitter units and quite hoppy compared to most of the other Pilsners our Weihenstephaner Pils comes up with a distinctive aroma of hops with a pleasant bitterness. This combination provides a balanced mix and guarantees great enjoyment. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.
Oberon is a wheat ale fermented with our signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer. Made with only 4 ingredients, and without the use of any spices or fruit, Oberon is the color and scent of sunny afternoon.
This is our take on a Belgian classic Witbier. While we use traditional wheat malt and Belgian yeast typical of Wit style beers, we do not add coriander or orange zest instead we utilize American variety Citra hops for flavor, aroma and dry hop.The bouquet and palate of this beer is juicy grapefruit with a hint of grassiness. Light in body, this beer drinks well year-round but is exceptional when the weather gets warm.
First in a series inspired by the iconic fruit cart vendors of Los Angeles. A light Wheat Ale with lots of fresh mango flavor and aroma, Finishing crisp and refreshing.
At OMB, we love our local history almost as much as we enjoy brewing our premium local beer. While most people think Hornet’s Nest is an ode to Charlotte’s basketball team, it’s actually the nickname England’s General Cornwallis gave Charlotte when he met more resistance here than anticipated during the Revolutionary War. So why did we choose this opaque, subtly sweet Hefeweizen as Charlotte’s tribute beer? Because it’s awesome! Otherwise, it wouldn’t be much of a tribute.
The beer you’ve been waiting for. Keeps your taste satisfied while keeping your senses sharp. An all-day IPA naturally brewed with a complex array of malts, grains and hops. Balanced for optimal aromatics and a clean finish. The perfect reward for an honest day’s work and the ultimate companion to celebrate life’s simple pleasures.
G13 IPA is a strange new strain, indeed. We took the dank hop profile you’d expect from a hazy IPA, and married it with terpenes and natural hemp flavors. The result is a big yet balanced IPA that mimics the aroma and taste of a heady, green G13. G13 IPA is a sticky super-hybrid that’s ready to rip.
Pernicious is our flagship India Pale Ale. With minimum malt complexity, we dry hop this beer with nearly twice the normal amount of hops typical to this style. The combination of juicy, tropical fruit-forward hops with heavy resinous American hops is the epitome of a West Coast IPA, made right here in the Southeast.
Our flagship West Coast IPA is refreshing with notes of citrus, mango, and pineapple to the nose. Pouring a pale gold color, there are notes of pine, resin, and malt with a lingering bitterness to the finish.
Our darkest year-‘round selection, Lazy Bird Brown is the quintessential American Brown Ale. Rich mahogany in color with a noticeable roasty aroma, this beer is both slightly hoppy and malty all at the same time. It’s smooth, refreshing, and a great introduction for those wanting to try darker beers
Bed of Nails is crafted as an American ode to a traditional English brown. A light hop addition balances the natural sweetness present in the specialty malt. This beer’s delicate body and dry finish allow flavors of toffee and dark fruit to shine through.
RED OAK AMBER LAGER is a Munich Urtyp (Old Style) Lager. The brewing process begins with custom kilned imported Munich Malt, then we add Tettnang Noble Hops from Bavaria, the oldest hop growing region in the world. For fermentation we use lager yeast from Weihenstephen. Five weeks of aging gives Red Oak the smooth taste that it is known for.
Creamy, toffee aromas balance the bitterness of Munich malts in our roasted brown lager. Although dark in color, Dunkel is medium in body and finishes dry and clean, resulting in a rich lager that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Decadent chocolate with a touch of vanilla, light in body, but rich in roasted malt flavor with dry and smoky undertones that will leave you yearning for another sip.
Introducing the newest and smoothest member of the Yeti family, VELVET YETI. The surprisingly velvety and rich mouthfeel of the nitro pour rounds out the unmistakeable roasty, caramel & toffee notes that make Yeti such a beast. Despite its minimal 5.0% ABV, this smooth operator is sure to provide maximum joy.
Starting with 2 row Pale and Crystal malts, followed by Chocolate and Black Patent malts creates a full bodied beer with forward notes of chocolate and coffee. Generous amounts of American hops add a citrusy note and a layer of complexity.
A pumpkin ale with the attitude of a world-weary barista, Punkuccino packs a short shot of Stumptown coffee toddy in your pint with just a shake of cinnamon and nutmeg.
A medium bodied ale with a solid malt backbone of caramel and warm bread crust. Extended dry hopping intensifies hop flavors without lingering biterness.
Similar in balance, body, finish and flavor intensity to a semisweet (or medium-dry) white wine, with a pleasant mixture of honey character, light sweetness, soft fruity esters, and clean alcohol.

In well-made examples of the style, the fruit is both distinctive and well-incorporated into the honey-sweet-acid-tannin-alcohol balance of the mead. Different types of fruit can result in widely different characteristics; allow for a variation in the final product.
An enticing aroma of fresh red cherries and sweet oak vanilla with a hint of varietal herbal tones. The medium-bodied, juicy, cherry-like flavors are supported and enhanced by moderate tannins and a toasty wood character.
