Spencer Devon Sneads Squash

80 lbs of Georgia Candy Roaster squash, grown by Snead’s Farm, was added to this Dark English Mild ale. Chef Justin Cunningham roasted the squash with a touch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey, and we added the puree to our mash. The squash gives this mild malty beer a touch of sweetness that underlies roasted, nutty, and caramel malts. The spices peek through in the finish, leaving you with some lovely reminders that Autumn is upon us.
