Belfast Bay Lobster Ale

Belfast Bay Lobster Ale

Red Ale4.9% ABV32 IBU

Belfast Bay Brewing Co.Belfast, ME

Lobster Ale is a dark copper red ale with a distinctive smooth flavor and aroma. It offers the drinker all the qualities of a Red ale; with subtle levels of fruity-ester flavor and roasted caramel character that create a perfectly balanced medium hop flavor. A slight yeast haze and chill give this ale a white, foamy, rich head. When my wife suggested that a brewery from Maine should make a beer called Lobster Ale, a red ale seemed to be the perfect brew. No, this beer does not taste like lobster. It's even better!

Belfast Bay McGovern's Oatmeal Stout

Belfast Bay McGovern's Oatmeal Stout

Oatmeal Stout5.0% ABV50 IBU

Belfast Bay Brewing Co.Belfast, ME

McGovern's Oatmeal Stout is a very smooth, dark, full-bodied stout with soft chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors, and a roasted malt character for moderate bitterness. The oatmeal in our stout creates a milky, caramel colored head with small, tight, foamy bubbles that slowly cascade into the dark, aromatic liquid. McGovern's Oatmeal Stout has all the same characteristics of any stout, but the oatmeal gives this beer a rich, creamy more rounded quality.

Belfast Bay Stone Crab IPA

Belfast Bay Stone Crab IPA

American IPA5.9% ABV55 IBU

Belfast Bay Brewing Co.Belfast, ME

Stone Crab IPA is a classically brewed India Pale Ale, not over exaggerated in any way. It has five different malts balanced against five separate kettle addition hops, including American and English varieties. Finally, the beer is dry hopped with Bravo hops giving the nose a subtle fruity aroma. Stone Crab IPA has a nice coppery hue and drinks dry and crisp. It is a refreshing change to the current over-hopped IPA market.
