Pour over Pairings Ice Cream Social w/ Ben & Jerry's + New Belgium Brewing

The Dram Shop

November 4, 5:00p.m. - 9:00p.m.

Keep the pint glass! A benefit for Protect our winters, we'll be making Ben & Jerry's New Belgium Brewing shakes on wed. night! Enjoy a beer shake and keep the glass. Here's a description:When two things you love come together, well, it's bound to be delicious. New Belgium and Ben & Jerry's, it turns out, have a lot in common. We're both B Corporations, which means we hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to things like transparency, treatment of our workers and suppliers, and measuring our impact on communities and the environment. It's no surprise, then, that we both agree that the only thing better than pairing amazing brews with famous flavors is teaming up to have fun in support of a good cause.Which is why we're so excited to finally introduce what we've been working on: a new beer, Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale, and a new ice-cream, Salted Caramel Brownie Ale. A portion of the proceeds from sales of each will be going to Protect Our Winters (POW), an organization started in 2007 by snowboarder Jeremy Jones to combat climate change. But there's more than one way to get your fix of beer and ice cream. We recommend these deliciously complementary pairings, in all their palate-pleasing glory:

Katabatic Brewing Tasting!

June 7, 4:30p.m. - 8:30p.m.

Come taste 6 Awesome Katabatic Brewing Company Beers for just $12. Check out the lineup!Katabatic Honey Blonde - ABV 6.0% IBU 20Our blonde is made in the style of a Belgian Blonde, but with clean finishing American yeast, and American malts and hops. This BOLD beer flaunts a very fragrant aroma of honey, flowers, and grain. Sweet to start, dry to finish, light straw yellow in color it pours with a clean white head of foam. Where's the Cowbell Saison - ABV 6.4% IBUs 21This Belgian Saison style farmhouse ale is slighty tart, refreshingly dry, citrusy, and finishes crisp. The aroma is driven by the classic Belgian farmhouse yeast. Citrusy and bright, easy drinking and refreshing.Rusty Pearl SMASH Pale Ale – ABV 5.4% IBU 43Rusty Pearl is a Single Malt and Single Hop (SMaSH) Pale Ale made with Triple Pearl hops. Rusty Pearl is a great sessionable pale ale. Stone fruits, ripe fruits, and white tea in the aromas, stone fruits, honey dew, and fruit-tea-like flavors are subdued and complimentary to the light malt backbone. It finishes up dry and crisp, with a slight bitterness on the finish.Katabatic IPA - ABV 7.7% IBU 77 Hops: Chinook, Cascade, GalaxyAromas of tropical fruits, citrus and pine, this ale is crisp and dry with just enough malt backbone to balance the hefty American and Australian hops. Its appearance is golden straw colored with a nice creamy head. Notes of tropical fruits, citrus and pine invade your senses and dominate your nose as the beer comes across your palate dry. Moderately hoppy and bitter in the middle of the sip, yet it finishes dry with the hops leaving your palate with the last drop of beer.Katabatic Strong Scotch Ale - ABV 7.3% IBU 25 Hops: Styrian GoldingsIt's deeply malty aromatics with caramel notes shine through due to the clean fermentation and cooler aging temperatures. The appearance is dark brown color, with deep ruby highlights, and pours with a light tan head. Flavors are swayed to the malty side with hints of roasted malt and slight smoky/musty flavor, while the esters may suggest plums, raisins, and dried fruit.Katabatic Bourbon Barrel Aged Strong Scotch Ale - We put our Scotch Ale with notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and dark fruits in to some Willie's Distillery Bourbon and Honey Moonshine barrels, aged them for 2 months, then blended all the barrels together to get one awesome sauce! Gi-normous bourbon aromas, with vanilla and toffee tones waft up when you smell the beer. Then big vanilla, oaky-tannins, leather, smoke, bourbon meld when you take a drink.
