Schooner Dry Hop Ale is a light bodied, summery ale made with 100% Cascade hops and a small amount of un-malted barley. Lightning American Amber Ale is Jim’s take on the English Extra Special Bitter. This recipe has been brewed largley unchanged for upwards of 25 years while the head brewer was still in graduate school. This version is hoppier, more malty, and has a higher ABV than its British cousin, but retains a suprising balance and drinkability. A tall cream-colored head tops off this gorgeous dark amber beer. Cask conditioned firkin release, May 9th at 3pm!

Hop flavor is high, and should reflect an American hop character withcitrusy, floral, resinous, piney or fruity aspects. High hop bitterness, although the malt backbone will support the strong hop character and provide the best balance. Malt flavor is low, and is generally clean and malty. Some clean alcohol flavor can be noted. Oceanside Ale Works “Dude” is dry hopped with pure Cascade extract oil and carbonated in brite tank with consistent head pressure for 10 days opposed to using carb stone to save aroma. 9.4% abv. Oaked in barrel for 10 months.Cask conditioned firkin release, May 16th at 3pm!

The saying “less is more” doesn’t apply to West Coast IPA’s. Less is a glass half empty and Karl Strauss Crystal Dry Hopped Tower 20 is a full glass of unrivaled hop character – a Double IPA where more is more. In brewing this hoppy offering, they took the best of Tower 10 IPA and added more. An abundance of high-alpha Centennial hops give T20 its resinous pine-like bitterness, while Oregon-grown Crystals and Chinooks lend zesty grapefruit and tangerine hop flavors. We are going to be serving a three course meal for the event with five different beers brewed by AleSmith to go along with it. The menu is as follows: For starters will be serving their Anvil, which is an English Style Bitter, with a Venissimo Cheese & bread freshly baked by Sadie Rose Baking Company. As well, we will be serving a salad served with fresh greens topped with fresh cone Columbus Hopped vinaigrette paired with the India Pale Ale! For the Main course we’ll be serving Brisket Braised in Nut Brown w/ Nut Brown Mushroom Gravy, accompanied with Garlic Stir-Fried Brussels sprouts cooked in AleSmith X. You will enjoy both of these brews while enjoying the main course. For the final long awaited dish, the final course of the meal….dessert! Decadence 2011 on Cask will be served with a Crème Brew-Lay!
