Miami Dice:
MIAMI DICE is the atmosphere and beat-oriented project of Shaun Olson (a.k.a. Dr Dice), also drummer and founding member of indie/psyche/shoegaze outfit Cement Stars. An Italo disco / R&B-influenced dance project, MIAMI DICE incorporates vintage synth sounds, laid-back beats, minimal vocals and a vibe that evokes the neon-lit after-hours world of the late 70's and early 80's. 2013 saw Olson's Cement Stars bandmate Josh Faggart (a.k.a. Le Joshua ) join the live show on drums, and next, Scott Weaver (a.k.a. Chaka Wolf Fever, formerly of the bands Babyshaker and Snagglepuss) on trumpet and percussion.
Elevator Jay:
Born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina, Elevator Jay has been writing and producing his own music since the age of 12. His goal is to bring back the original sound of Southern Rap, with a new twist; staying true to those influences that pioneered the sound and also adding lyrical content that is key to this form of southern expression. In 2010, Elevator Jay released his very first project, the Going Up Mixtape, hosted by DJ Dexter Dynamite and has dominated the Charlotte hip hop scene ever since.

Davey Blackburn, Claudio Ortiz and Liza Ortiz, former members of Patabamba, along with Michael Anderson, former member of Snagglepuss, have come together on a new project known as Chócala. Our varying backgrounds, and love for latin beats has inspired us to create music that honors our roots, but puts a twist on traditional sounds.
