A Russian Imperial Stout with a hearty malt body and bold hop flavor. Named after the infamous "Blackout of 2003" that left the northeastern United States in complete darkness, but resulted in old-fashioned neighborhood porch parties and fun.
Locally grown Midwest organic corn makes up the lion’s share of this fine bourbon. It’s balanced out with a healthy dose of Michigan wheat to provide a soft sweetness, a dash of rye to provide a little spice, and a bit of barley malt to smooth it all out. Our Featherbone Bourbon has a classic vanilla aroma and sweetness with hints of malt, spice and tobacco.
Beer Barrel Bourbon is first aged in new American oak barrels for several years, before a three month beer-y slumber. The beer-barrel aging lends biscuity notes and a smooth malt character to the robust whiskey tones of toffee and caramel.
